Governor Fletcher signed the Executive Order in Frankfort Tuesday, August 9. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will install the signs in Corbin and Middlesboro Wednesday, August 10.

Comment: This road is much more historically accurate to be named for Daniel Boone as it is basically the road he built. At last Daniel Boone has had something which was taken way restored. This is very good news for all of us who care deeply about Kentucky, the Boone family and our nation's history.
[I might add this is the road that many of us Kentucky native Boone family descendants grew up on or near! Welcome back home Dan'l.]
